Treasury Guest Lecture Series: Special Auckland Seminar with Rui C. Mano

Date: 2 May 2024
Time: 11am-12.30pm
Location: WG308, WG Building, AUT City Campus

Twice every year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) publishes its World Economic Outlook (WEO), which presents analyses of global economic developments during the near and medium term. Individual analytical chapters of this report give an overview as well as more detailed analysis of the world economy, consider issues affecting industrial countries, developing countries, and economies in transition to market, and address topics of pressing current interest.

In this seminar, Rui C. Mano, a Deputy Division Chief in the IMF’s Research Department, will present an overview of the latest April 2024 WEO, with particular emphasis on the outlook for the global economy and on the role of housing and mortgage markets for monetary policy transmission.

This event is organised by The Treasury and the New Zealand Policy Research Institute.
